Remembrance Day 2020 Holten Canadian War Cemetery

The Covid-19 pandemic upended traditional Remembrance Day commemorations around the world in 2020. Thank-you to our Dutch friends in the Seaforth Highlanders of Holland for recording their tribute this year to the Canadian fallen who lay at rest at the Holten Canadian War Cemetery. The first tune played by Piper Ernst Sinselmeijer is the 'Canadian Lament for the Fallen' and Pipe Major FrankJan de Boone follows with 'Flowers of the Forest'. Accompanying the pipers is Mrs. Mies Huselage, a volunteer at the Holten Cemetery. She and her husband, Mr. Wim Huselage, are present every year at the Seaforth Highlanders of Holland Remembrance Day ceremony. To watch the video click here.
