Passing of HCol David G. McLean OBC, LL.D

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Honorary Colonel David G. McLean, OBC,LL.D

HCol David McLean served as our HLCol from 24 January 2018 to 26 May 2021 and as HCol from 27 May 2021 to Feb 2022 when his declining health forced him to retire.

In his capacity as both an Honorary Officer and Patron, David enthusiastically brought his considerable and distinguished business leader, entrepreneur and philanthropic skills and passion to bear within our Regiment. His many helpful and beneficial contributions leave a legacy that will live on and never be forgotten.

The family, wife Brenda (nee McCuaig), sons Jason and Sacha, their wives, AJ (Andrea) and Melanie and his five grandchildren, are holding a Celebration of Life on Tuesday, March 11, at 13:00HRS at UBC’s Chan Centre. All members of our Seaforth Highlanders of Canada Regimental Community are both invited and encouraged to attend to pay our respects to the family and to honour the life of the late David G. McLean.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations may be made to a number of community and business organizations including the Seaforth Highlanders of Canada
